Goes to show how a more scientific way of playing football eventually won out. When one day we get past the bullshit about communism we might play a different kind of politics too.

I remember watching Saturday night football as a very young kid. This particular showing was England vs Holland. The program format was such that it always ended with summary action of the goals scored. There were 3 or 4 good goals in this match but they did not show any of them at the end. The program finished with a replay of Cruyff spinning the English forwards in his own goal area. I realised then how revered he was.
